So my buddy loves this movie. We watched it. We talked about it! We talked about other things, too. Here's a list:

  • Who lives better in our reality, Indie or Jack Sparrow
  • Shout out Dirk Gently
  • Shout out all the dudes who played James Bond
  • What makes a perfect movie
  • Are the Indie movies proto-Michael Bay?
  • Biblical accuracy of the movie
  • Shout out John Williams
  • Franchise fatigue
  • And so much more!

You can try and get me on TikTok (@joseph.friesen5), but I rarely check it lol. Otherwise find me at Evergreen Church in Tulsa on a Tuesday at 7pm!

Anyway, had some interesting thoughts about how Jesus relates to scapegoats, priests, and Noah's dove. Or the ark. Still working on that one.

This episode kicks off a long series of conversations I plan to have with my buddy Kody on government. Sorry about how quiet it gets toward the end, we were trying to not wake up our other roommate.

Here are a few questions we discussed to get the ball rolling:

  • Do proxy wars work?
  • Do trade sanctions work?
  • Is Ukraine justified in its actions against Russia?
  • Is Russia justified in its actions against Ukraine?
  • Is the USA justified in getting involved?
  • Who should win?
