As Jesus triumphantly entered Jerusalem, as the long-awaited servant King, not all is as it seemed (12:12-16). While the people were expecting a warrior to defeat their earthly enemies (12:17-19) instead they received a different kind of King defeating a different kind of enemy, AND in the process ushering in a new era and New Life among Jews and gentiles alike (12:20-26). For now, Light and Life has come to ALL peoples. So, may we be God’s people that now walk in this newness of light and life (12:27-36)!
