Hey everybody and welcome to another episode of Bluey! And the Bible. Hey, I'm Justin Grieber. And I'm Jesse. We are so rusty. But we're back on the wagon bringing you episode 11 of Bluey! And the Bible. Yes, it feels so good to be back honestly. And taking those views to heart, saying that there's just not enough episodes, just makes me sad inside. Because you're right, there's not enough episodes of Bluey in the Bible. What is going on? I'll tell you what's going on. Okay? I am a pastor and a husband and a father and an employee. And there's a lot going on. Okay? There's a lot going on. Somebody thinks, happening. And I only have three beautiful children on Earth, one in heaven. And Jesse has so many children. Almost too many to count. I'm like Abraham. The Sands of the Shoe of the Stars in the Sky. Anyway, anyway. But we're back. We're back. We're here with you. Thank you so much. We've made this podcast something that we didn't expect it would be. And that's pretty cool. That's really staking cool. And getting back into the groove. So just forgive us if we're a little rusty as we move through our segments of the Bluey and the Bible podcast. We're good. We're going to get it. We're going to be all right. Hopefully Jesse's got his fingers hot to trot with all the little clips and what-nots and the so-forts and the happenings. And I think you're surprised. Every blue in the Bible, Bible podcast starts off with the episode. And this is episode 11. Bike. Bike. It's another episode where it's going to be hard not to play the entire episode. Yes. No, we're going to work hard on it though because you know, I don't know, copyright laws and whatnot. I'm not going to do that. It's still don't know what's happening with that. That's fine. We're just going to be away. Stay away from that. We're not playing the entire episode. And this is an audio medium. So it's not like we're not even doing lower third with the video because there's no video. You're listening. Now as we start off, every blue in the Bible, we start off with, for real life, as Bluey would say, which at some day maybe we'll get a clip of Bluey saying, for real life, because it'd be better than me saying it, but nonetheless. Episode 11, Bike. Bandit takes the girls to the park and Bluey has brought her bike to learn how to ride it. As it turns out, riding a bike isn't as easy as it looks. And Bluey fast gives up on it forever. And she sees Bingo, Bentley, and Muffin having struggles of their own. Will she be able to learn from the perseverance of her friends and family? Will she learn the meaning of it's as easy as riding a bike? This episode is bike. We have some new characters. Oh, we do, Bentley. Bentley pops in. Bentley is a new character. You know Muffin has already been in previous episodes, right? Yes. Muffin has been in previous episodes. Muffin is cousin, Bingo and Bluey's cousin. And then obviously Bingo is Bluey's little sister. Who doesn't know that? Please. Come on. And we're going to see. We're going to see if Bluey's her interactions with a bike. And ultimately, I think this episode has a lot to do with Bandit. This is a big Bandit episode. And it's like, it's only if you're paying attention. It's only if you're actually looking to see it. But what Bandit does is actually kind of really important, I think, in this episode, from a father perspective. So I'm really really love it. But our next segment is our favorite bits. Favorite bits. I will just like straight up, some of these may overlap with our next segment because they just are parts of other scenes. But these are classic favorite bits, types of things. The first favorite bit, favorite bits, comes about with Muffin. Muffin has, we melt down at the park and it's hilarious. This is unacceptable. Why was your guy called my back to back? Literally, you loving freaking out. Curbsomping back. Curbsomping back. Get in with your back back on you. Just got me tiny little arms. Unacceptable. Oh, Muffin. Muffin is very dramatic, just generally speaking. Yes. She's one of those children that require a little extra attention in the parenting sphere. That is who Muffin is. Oh, Jessi, you want to take away? Take it away with our next favorite favorite bit. Oh, I forgot. I forgot already that I'm supposed to be doing. Oh, I'll intro the favorite bit. You're doing the bidding. Since you're doing the bidding, I'll intro the bit. In this particular scene, we have a classic monkey bar situation. You know where you're kind of small and the monkey bars are kind of high and you kind of get stuck there in the middle. That's kind of what happens in this sex favorite bit. Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, you guys. Let's get down now. I'm like, to get down now. Sorry, so sorry. I'm experiencing this a lot in my house because there's snow outside. So it's like you spent 30 minutes getting everybody geared up for the snow and they're out in the snow and they're back inside to miss it. And then it's like decompressing from scuba diving. We're just stripping things up and trying to moisture back into the warm. Everywhere. So much. And then the salt and then the whole thing. But that was great. Bentley gets up on a monkey bar and Bentley's like, oh crap. That's like, dagling. I can do nothing else, but I've reached the first one. For a little bit, it's like so small that it's like infinitely. The ground is infinitely far away. It might as well be the top of the skyscraper because I'd like to get down now. It brings us to our last clip, which is a little more audio driven. Bingo. Bingo's going to take a drink off of the ground and we'll have to see him play and then we'll just describe it because it is like, it's just great. It's a great little. Nice work, Bingo. It's just, it's just laughing it up. It's so good. It's nice to get the sound. It's so good. It's so good. It's so good. It's so good. Bingo's just lapping the water off the ground. No, there is a child enjoying the fruits of her labor, you know. Yeah. And then you hear the lapping, lapping, lapping. It doesn't even take a pause to acknowledge dad. Just keeps lapping, thumb up. Thumbs up. Thanks dad. Oh, Bingo. Oh man. You silly dog. So good. Oh. Now, I'm going to pass your favorite bits into the actual episode. Our next segment is called This is Trifficult. Oh, Biscuits. That's right. Unicorns, all biscuits in the lead. We're going to walk through the episode, which is just a few clips, laying out the, the trifficulty that, that comes about in, in this particular episode of bike. And the first one starts right off at the top with Bluey, you know, she has trying to learn the age old, age old lesson of trying to ride a bike. How do I ride a bike? And she's at the park and off on the park bench is bandit watching from a distance. You show you don't want some help? No. No. Oh man. That's just the sound of her crashing into background. I don't know why I'm choking. Pedal, pedal, pedal, pedal, pedal, pedal, and there's bandit. I do want to point out bandit is sitting there, intently watching his daughter trying to ride a bike. Ready to engage, but doesn't need help. I don't need help and falls over again. And that brings us to the real hard part of the episode. The classic, I'll never be able to ride a bike, I quit. I quit, says Bluey. It's not fair. Why can't I just do it straight away? That's not how the world works kid. And the world is silly. Can't argue with that. I'll never ride it up bike again. Okay. The okay is great. Okay. Your emotion. Pure emotion. Yeah. I've never rotted that bike again. I like the bandit attitude is like, yeah, we know this isn't the end. Sure, sure. You'll never ride that bike again. Sometimes bandit is hands off and he doesn't really know what's going to happen and things work out in the end. This one bandit told us what's going to happen. Oh yeah. He isn't complete control of this. He's working the angles. He's working the angles right now. And this is what then kind of leads Bluey to take up the bench next to her dad and they sit and they're watching it. And they're seeing, you know, their friends, Bingo, Bentley and Muffin all have their own sort of struggles. I'm afraid. So this is okay. Now you're good. Go ahead. Having another go. Go Bingo faster. Come on, Bingo. Come on, Bingo. Come on, Bingo. Oh, oh, moosh. There's so much going on visually. There's so much going on. Bingo is trying to get a drink of water out of the water fountain, but she is too short to press the button and get a drink at the water fountain at the same time. So she keeps trying to press the button and run around and climb up and get the water, but the water just keeps stopping before she can get up. Personally, I never heard this. Which is, you know, I mean, it's just the great part about Bluey is like, I classically remember that being an issue like, you know, trying to get the water to work. It's like, I'm never going to be able to do this. Why is the water fountain built this way? I am a small human. Then an adult just has to come and scoop you up. I'll hold the button, just get a drink. Why didn't you bring your water bottle? We had it right by the door. Is that kind of like a crazy thing? I feel like we didn't do this whole water bottle thing when we were kids. Oh, yeah, no, we definitely, no. We did not. We were just expected to survive on pure grit. But these kids are like, I need water. Which I'm thankful. Water is good for you. There were garden houses, dude. We could always get something to drink. That's true, dude. I read an article about mold growing in garden houses. Oh my gosh, I'm terrified now. Bro, don't be terrified. We've all, look, we lived. We made it, man. I, I, a brow. I can't even tell you how many strangers garden houses I drank out of, bro. Oh, dude. Reals. Oh, for reals. 100%. Yo, ex. Well, that's a bingo. Bingo's issue is getting a drink. Bentley's, as we previously noted from our favorite bits, is trying to, trying to climb a monkey bars and take two for Bentley, is the classic, you know, run and jump method. Take it away, Bentley. That's it. Little backup there. I can't hear you, guys. Yeah, jump, man. Oh. Oh. Oh. Space plants in the dirt. Classic, run and jump, man. Sometimes you know, you always thought if I run and jump, I can get those monkey bars. Bentley's just a little short on the old dive and takes it to the bottom. Yep. That's what happens. And then finally, we also have muffin. And muffin is just trying to put on a backpack. It's just not as easy as it looks. Look at muffin. Oh, I can spin round, muffin. Oh. Wow. Oh. Muffins down. Oh, boy. Here comes the milk down. Whoa. This is unacceptable. Oh, I definitely play that too well. You don't do it, bro. It's just because it's funny. Yeah. So, muffin is spinning around. I try to get the one. I got the one arm in. It's like a dog chasing its tail, literally. It's hilarious. Kick it the loop. Whoa. It's like little kids. Like you're holding the shirt up for them and they put the wrong arm in and it's like, no, no, we got to come back out. They're like, why? I can just put my other arm in. No, no, no. It's wrong. You've got your head in the right arm hole. It's dummy. It's not a toga. It's a t-shirt. Oh, my word. Oh, totally classic. And ultimately, this leads to some realizations for Blui that kind of highlight the trificalty in the episode. She's observing her friends and realizes she's kind of seeing herself in what's happening with her friends. Whoa. Look at Bentley. She goes. Don't think. Ah, so close. No. What can I do? I'm trying to wipe. Hey, that's what I said. I can't do it. I'll never be able to bring water again. I love that love. I'm not going to hide into a little bull tooth. I'll never be able to drink water again. It's just fantastic. Oh, big go. I'll never be able to drink water again. And Blui is observing. She's like, oh, wait, I said that. Oh, wait, I did that. She's starting to observe her friends and realizing, oh, I was quitting. And now they're quitting. And that's the trificalty. That's the trificalty on the set up. And ultimately, big go need to drink. Bentley wants to climb the monkey bars and Muffin needs to put her backpack on. Will Blui learn to ride her bike? I'm not sure. Blui needs to learn how to ride her bike. That's right. 100%. But it brings us to the climax here. It brings us to the climax. The dollar bucks, baby. Oh, unicorns. Let me tell you why you should care. This is the part where we try to really understand the culmination of the episode, bringing the Bible in. But you know that because you've listened to the Blui and the Bible podcast, you've just been anxious to wait for months for this episode to come out. Why should I care? Oh, you know, man, this is going to be a while. But when we get to the unicorns episode and then all subsequent unicorns episodes, they're so good. Why should I care? Well, I'll tell you, the dollar bucks here are awesome. I really like this episode. What happens is after Bingo says that she'll never drink water again, Blui has the natural reaction. But Banda kind of steps in here. And it's this really important scene for not just Blui, but also how Banda interacts with Blui. So let's listen to that. Blui, Bingo. I'll go and hold the button for her. Hang on. Not so fast. Let's just see what happens next. It's that line that is so important. Banda's been waiting this whole time for this moment. Yep, yep. Banda sees the value of the lessons that we can learn through perseverance in this. And he knows that if Blui goes over and pushes the button, there's a lesson in perseverance for Bingo that will be lost. And allowing the time for perseverance to happen, allowing the time and opportunity that struggle brings, that allows perseverance to grow, is what Banda is ultimately amy-a. So a couple of verses, we didn't break this up. Jesse, I'll do John 17. And then you hit John 16. And then I'll jump back in on Romans 5. That's fine. I have my Bible, so I'm ready. Oh, oh yeah. Well, I mean, it would be like essential because this is Blui and the Bible. Yes. All right. So a couple of Bible verses come to mind. And this is maybe, maybe you won't, I don't know, maybe you won't be as clear for you. But if you let it, let it build, just let it build. Let him, John, let him go. John 17, 13 through, am I ending at 17? John, that's right. I was reading them and I was confused. John, 17, 13, 13, 17. This is part of Jesus' high priestly prayer. And here is what it says. But now I come to you and these things I speak in the world so that they may have my joy made full in themselves. I have given them your word and the world has hated them because they are not of the world. Even as I am out of the world, I do not ask you to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am out of the world. Sanktify them in the truth. Your word is truth. That's a longer section, but the key here is when Christ is praying for all of his believers that will come after him, hearing the gospel and following after him as Lord and Savior, what he's praying for is not that they would be taken out of the world, but that they would remain in the world, that they would be kept from the evil one, that they would be sanctified in truth, that they would love the word of God. That is what he prays for us. It is this great kindness from Christ as he prays, as he overlooks Jerusalem and prays for us today, like this prayer is of apical for us today. But the key is that he did not want us to be taken from the world, and not just one chapter previously is an important quote in John 16 verse 33. John 16 verse 33 says, These things I have spoken to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage. I have overcome the world. Previously, and just one chapter before you told us this, I was that he has overcome the world, that this world will be difficult, but take courage. I have overcome the world. I am just connecting the dots. We are here in a difficult place. Our Savior has overcome the world. He leaves us here so that we can grasp, hold and understand some things of perseverance, and what that perseverance does, and how that perseverance works to produce sanctification in our own lives. So Romans chapter 5, verses 1 through 6 as this, Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained an introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand. And we exalt in hope of the glory of God, and not only this, but we also exalt in our tribulations, knowing that tribulations bring about perseverance, and perseverance, proven character, and proven character hope, and hope does not disappoint. Because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who is given to us, for while we were still helpless at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. What's obvious in this particular passage is that level of perseverance that comes about through the tribulations that we have in this world as we follow Christ, there will be difficulties, whether it's dealing with our own sin, or whether it's speaking truth into a culture that is filled with lies and hatred of God. There is perseverance, and that perseverance proves the character of the godly man and the godly woman, and that character only leads to hope, hope that lasts, hope that brings joy and not disappointment, and it all stems from the God who is poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. What a gift a perseverance is, and that doesn't happen if when we're saved, we are magically transported away. It happens when we know Christ and are left in this world where there is struggle, and I think it's this level of interaction here where a bandit's like hang on, hang on a second. Watch what happens with Bingo. Watch Bingo work through the perseverance, and in that there's solving the problems and moving forward in a way where there is overcoming, and that is what Christ says. I have overcome this world, so it's just a beautiful little dad moment there by Bandit. That takes us to our next dollar buck moment. In here, there's a joy that's present, I think, in watching in Bandit and Bluey sitting there watching their friends, their family, persevere that I didn't want to lose, because it's kind of beautiful, it's kind of awesome. It's kind of that method of Bandit, that interaction of Bandit, that this huge medalless in that Bandit is actually teaching as Bandit and Bluey are sitting there watching their friends finally find success. Almost. We got it! Go get it! Yeah! You're okay! That was great! Let's get down now. How Bingo doing? Oh, okay. That's disgusting. That's less than ideal, but it's still a win. Nice back Bingo! So good. That's less than ideal. Less than ideal. But it's still a win. It's just beautiful. It's just so nice to watch them sit there, and they're hugging and they're laughing and they're celebrating as their friends persevere. But it's only going to happen because Bandit's willing to sit back and allow the struggle to occur. That's where the Perseverance comes from. It comes from actually having a tribulation, a difficulty that is beset in front of you. And a couple of just rejoicing passages. You want to read Proverbs or John? I have Proverbs open right now. Then you got it. It says, the father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, and he who begets a wise son will be glad in him. Yes, amen. And I think that's what you see in the celebration from Bandit. John 4 says, well, what track can you just pause for a second? Oh, sorry. Commentate on this. Jeez. It's hard being a coho sometimes. Well, I was really hard doing all that you do. Jesse is masterfully managing the clips and cutting and moving through the episode. So kudos to you, Jesse. I'm glad. I'm glad to. I would be thankful to hear you commentate. I was just going to say, I mentioned it in our men's group last week, that enjoying moments with your kids is so important. Not letting little opportunities to celebrate or laugh or have fun pass you by. And I think I gave an example of somebody said something funny or acted funny or did something funny or whatever. I just, I just big old belly laugh and then everyone's laughing and everyone's just, just having a nice moment. And I feel like sometimes his dad's like, if you're tired or stressed or whatever, it's easier just to let those pass by and let them just be what they are. But I think just even just something as simple as a good laugh, you know, can really show your kids how much you love them and that you enjoy their company and you want to spend time with them. Just think I think celebration is really important and I feel like we miss it a lot. Yeah, it's so essential in this episode of teaching the lesson of learning the lesson. And it's just, it's the little things like these are all little things. Muffins putting a backpack on. Bingo is just trying to drink from a water fountain. These are small things. It's such a good reminder to celebrate like I try to celebrate with with our youngest. I try to celebrate Logan every time he's able to respond correctly in obedience because it should be celebrated because our hearts are bent towards disobedience. Our hearts are bent to not obey and to celebrate every little thing that you can is great and glorious because there's so life is difficult and the little glimpses of grace that we can celebrate are important. Amen, Jesse. Third John 4, no chapters, there's only one chapter in John. Third John 4 says, I have no greater joy than this to hear of my children walking in the truth. And there's something beautiful about watching our children particularly walk in the truth of God. And even find success even in their physical endeavors that it is, it does bring great joy and no greater joy than to see them actually love and serve the God of truth and His Word. So just a beautiful verse. You, but you day. You but you day. Well, we're kind of wrapping it up with the full conclusion now that we've seen. We've seen Bentley, Bingo and muffin fine success. Ultimately, the question is, will Buluie earn to ride a bike? I do want to say right off the bat. This episode doesn't answer that question. Did you realize that? Did you realize that, Jesse? I realized that. I mean, I think there's an implication there. Well, we do have subsequent episodes where riding a bike happens. So it is true, but this episode doesn't answer the question. But there's something so important about the ending that I don't want us to lose about bandit. So let's hear how this episode concludes. Nice work, Lily. So nice. It ends with the sounds of Buluie getting her back up and trying again. This is so nice. So nice. And smiling. And smiling while she does it. Yep. She's got determination on her face and she gets on a bike and she smiles and she starts again. And Buluie and bandit without ever... Bandit never says you should try again. Bandit watches his daughter pick up the bike and simply says, nice job, Buluie. Yep. And I have a whole... I have a bunch of verses here. But all of these verses say the same thing. And Jesse, you can read any one of them. Your pick. Um... I'll do Deuteronomy. Yeah, just so I don't know. I have Deuteronomy 31-6, Deuteronomy 31-8, Joshua 1-5, Hebrews 13-5, and there could have been a myriad of other verses that would have given us the same exact message as these verses say. Yeah, so Deuteronomy 31-6 and 8 say, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or be in dread of them for Yahweh or your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. And Yahweh is the one who goes ahead of you. He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. And the truth of the whole entire episode is that all these things are happening. Bandit is always there. He is there watching. He is there teaching. He is there leading. He is there celebrating. And Bandit as the father didn't lead. Then one of these kids were alone. Like the full assumption is that Bandit or Bentley's parents, somebody helped Bentley down. There was supposed to watch Bentley just diego there. But the full assumption is there that Bandit is monitoring all these situations. He hasn't left any of these kids. So just like fail and fall into some sort of deep despair. He is there encouraging. He is there celebrating. He is there teaching. And these verses are just so clearly remind us. God never forsakes his children. Never ever ever. He is always there. He goes before. He follows after. He is with us at all times. Well, my gosh. My gosh, share buddy. Are you reading Joshua 15? Is that what you're doing? No, no, I wasn't. Honestly, they all say the same thing. They'll be in the show notes. I'll put them. The reason the verses are there is indicated. This is messages on repeat throughout the Bible. God is constantly reminding us people. I will never leave you. I will never forsake you. You are never alone. I will always be there. Did Rhinavipassage is nice because it's both saying that I will be with you there and I will go before you. I will never forsake you. And that message is on repeat from God's lips in his word consistently for his people. That's a great gift. It really is. No other religion has that. Nope. That's why I are religion. I'm a religion of rocks. You could do everything right. The final judgment, Allah could say, I changed my mind. Because Allah is a capricious God because He is a demon. Anyway, that's another episode of Bluey and the Bible. Oh my gosh. We did it. Another episode down. We can move on to the next episode of Bluey. Yay. And the people in the people rejoice. Like we always like to say at the end of these episodes. We'll see you next time, kids. Catch you on the flip side. We'll end it.
