279 episodesGod’s jealous wrath comes upon spiritual leaders who fail to use their position for the common good (Isa 3:1-15) and ladies who cannot see beyond the mirror (Isa 3:16-26).
Since God is jealous to deliver His people, He opposes anything that competes for our ultimate allegiance (Isa 2:12-17), things that will be recognized as of man alone (Isa 2:18-22).
We express our confidence in the exaltation of God's kingdom on earth (Isa. 2:1-5) by turning fromthe exaltation of eartlhy idols and power (Isa. 2:6-11).
Because God's grace covers our sins and shows itself in good works (Isa. 1:16-23), He promises to redeem the humble and punish the wicked (Isa. 1:24-31).
If God would formally indict His children for turning from Him (Isa. 1:2-4), punishing rebellion while jealously preserving a remnant (Isa. 1:5-9), then religious bartering would be of no use (Isa. 1:10-15).
God is against human pride and self-reliance (Isaiah 29), but for the salvation of the humble (Isaiah 43), because He is jealous for glory (Isaiah 48).
