Today we think about MCC prayer and outreach seasons from Ephesians 6 and 1 Timothy 2.

As we grow spiritually as Christians, our faith will increase (1 John 2:12-14), so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we will be able to stand fast, overcoming Satan and the lure of this world (1 John 2:15-17).

As we follow the Lord’s commands and walk in HIS ways we will be blessed, encouraged, and confirmed as a child of His (1 John 2:3-6).  For His commandments are not grievous for us, nor are they truly new to us...

In light of the new age we inhabit in Christ (Col. 3:1-4), Christian dads lead their homes and parent their children in His name (Col. 3:17-21).

When we trust in the manifest Word of God, we live a life characterized by repentance and truth out of gratitude that the blood of Christ has cleansed us of sin, and that He intercedes on our behalf before the Father.

John testified that his Gospel is a true, eyewitness testimony (John 21:24), so we would know the kinds of things God did in His Son’s life, death, and resurrection (John 21:25).

Jesus establishes the pastoral instruction of His people as the primary task of leadership (John 21:15-17), a task worth suffering for (John 21:18-19) as we labor until the Lord’s return (John 21:20-23).
